I was driving home from work one evening in September. The sky was on fire with one of those amazing Arizona sunsets. (I'm not sure if you've ever seen one of these but they are amazing!) Pink and gold tinged the scattered grey clouds from an earlier rain and the sun glowed behind the mountains. It was breathtaking. I sang along to the radio and praised God for his beautiful creation while tears of joy and awe ran down my face. (My fellow commuters probably thought I was crazy!)

 

The Newsboys “He Reigns” played and the words resonated in me like never before. The next song, “Multiplied” by NEEDTOBREATHE, called to my heart. I continued to praise and sing and cry (and drive).

 

Then, God showed up in a big way. He spoke to my heart with a thought so huge I knew it was not my own. I actually said out loud, “What? I can’t do that! It’s too huge!”

 

God’s inaudible response was this: “I know. You’re not going to do it. I am. You’re just going to put it out there.” I was stunned by the simple truth of it. I knew this was God’s calling on my heart. I’d been praying for months to hear his voice on this matter and here it was.  In my car. In my face. Undeniable.

 

What is it? What did God call me to do? It is so simple, yet so powerful.
